Whats good about the Nintendo DSi, well for one Nintendo has sold over 100 million units world wide, which means it is the best-selling portable video game console ever. Even the ever so popular Sony Playstation Portable has not come close to out selling the Dsi. Numbers should tell the story.
What makes the Nintendo DSi so popular is that it has two large screens, a 0.3 megapixel camera, it has access to downloadable games and applications, comes in multiple colors, which is very popular preference amongst most consumers, as well it offers lots of innovative media features and cost less than $200.00
Why people are falling in love with the PSP (short for) Playstation Portables. Simple they are light, slim, very agile and pack a powerful punch. Most like them for the fact that they have AV outputs that allow you to play videos and games through your TV outputs.
For me, I like the fact that it has so many other features, such as; Skype with on board microphone. It stores a lot of media like photos, music, videos etc… It also has a built in web browser and does so much more than other handheld devices. If Sony had only designed it with a built in Cell Phone, it would be the perfect travel companion.
The Xbox 360 is the second Video Game System by Microsoft, it to has great features, Xbox Live services, that allows you to compete with other players online, download Arcade Games, order movies from Netflix and much more.
The Xbox 360 is currently available in three variants, Xbox 360 Arcade, Xbox 360 Elite and Xbox 360 Premium. Prices for all units has been reduced considerably compared to what they were early 2009, which probably explains there recent popularity boom.
To boost sales Microsoft combined their consoles with the oh so popular and highly talked about Video Game Modern Warfare 2. And it worked, because Xbox 360 sales were up 42% over the past 3 months.

Although the Playstation 3 has to compete with Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles. The Playstation 3 still offer some great robust features and capabilities.
as an experienced gamer, I mainly prefer the PS3 over the others. It has Blu-Ray 2.0 compliance, about the best on the market today, which exceeds that of most standalone Blu-Ray players.
Sony introduced the slim model and the popularity grew, I myself like the fact that they have a hugh storage capacity, browses the Internet, plays DVDs and sales at a good price.
The Nintendo Wii gaming system was once again the most popular video gaming system sold this holiday season. The hottest selling Video Game Bundle was unarguably the Wii Fit Plus with the Balance Board. December 2009 was Nintendo’s best selling month with 1.26 million consoles sold.
Although the numbers are astonishing, the popularity of the Video Game Consoles are steadily decreasing, is it because of the economy? Who knows, it will be very interesting to see what Nintendo will come up with for 2010 to make a come back, check back and find out, we will definitely keep you informed.
